JASPER, AB - Local firefighters will once again be participating in Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s Buck for Luck campaign, and al you have to do to help is exchange a loonie of your own for a lucky green shamrock.
Firefighters have supported Muscular Dystrophy Canada for the past 50 years. In various fundraisers, firefighters have collected more than $2 million each year, or 25 per cent of Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s annual fundraising total.
Local Fire Chief Greg Van Tighem and Deputy Fire Chief Ron Stanko are the local coordinators for the Buck for Luck fundraiser.
