A Russell woman has filed a lawsuit against the township to stop it from building a new fire hall beside her family's rural home. Sharron Campbell, 38, says her disabled daughter has a sensitivity to noise which, if loud enough, triggers agonizing seizures that threaten her life. For that reason, the family and their lawyer have obtained an injunction that has, for now, stopped the heavy equipment from its work. The silence will last until Oct. 28, when a Superior Court judge will decide whether the town can go ahead with its fire hall, find a new site or buy the family's home.
