Things ran a little smoother when local firefighters donned hazardous materials suits last week, but the push is still on for more training and a regional HAZMAT team. Basically, the response is there, it's just getting everything in place, said Fort St. John fire chief Jeff Lambert. Lambert said it took about two hours for Fort St. John and Charlie Lake firefighters to get the area secured on Thursday after a potentially dangerous combination of household cleaners was discovered in a U-Haul cube van which was found overturned in the Charlie Lake area.
