After finding several life-threatening situations inside squatters' tents, the Vancouver fire department says it will begin conducting regular fire inspections at Creekside and Strathcona parks. Fire inspectors and city staff visited the two squats Friday and stumbled upon some disturbing scenes, such as a young woman sleeping in her tent while surrounded by candles.
