Confusion hurt effort: Kelowna fire chief

KELOWNA -- There was a breakdown in communications, a lack of leadership and an inappropriate use of resources during last summer's devastating fires, Kelowna's fire chief said at a public inquiry Wednesday. Gerry Zimmermann was one of several speakers at the public hearing who noted shortfalls that complicated emergency efforts.

Everyone is bound to make mistakes being a leader or a follower.
In this case it is sad that it was a BIG event and the lack of leadership to tackel down this problem was not there.
That is how we learn.
At least the job got done.
