ALBERTON, PEI - The City of Summerside and the Town of Alberton have teamed up to launch a fundraiser based on the popular TV game show The Price is Right. Who knows -- perhaps even Bob Barker may pay a visit to The Which Price is Right Show. Proceeds from the fundraiser, slated for Saturday, July 23, at 7 p.m., will go to the National Pewee Baseball Championship and the Alberton fire department.
The contest will be followed by a dance with a live band. Major sponsors include Hemphill Pontiac Buick Chevrolet GMC Ltd., the Co-operators and The Journal-Pioneer. Ticket locations will be announced shortly. Up to $100,000 worth of prizes, including brand new cars and trucks, are up for grabs.
