This might seem strange to you, but I am a pubic artist in Vancouver who is helping two communities make public art for their new firehalls.
The theme of these artworks is "community safety."
I'd like to hear what "community safety" means from Canada's firefighters - how they fit in to this idea and how they uphold it.
Try and be poetic.
Also, many of you have had public art foisted on any of you with new firehalls. I'd like to hear about how successful you feel about the process and the result.
