THOMPSON, Manitoba -- Manitoba Conservation officials say a forest fire northwest of Thompson is about eight-thousand hectares in size. Spokesman Pierce Roberts says by last evening, more than 200 firefighters are be battling the blaze. If the wind changes direction, it's possible smoke could drift back into the city, as happened on Saturday.
