High temperatures are causing conditions in southeastern British Columbia to dry up and push the fire danger into the high and extreme ratings. With no significant rainfall in the past two weeks, the Southeast Fire Centre is stressing extreme caution with fire at this time. On Friday, forest firefighters were mopping up after five active fires, said Geoff Green, fire information officer. "We're finding that most forest fires (72 per cent) are human caused," he said.
