SUDBURY, ON - When there’s a serious car accident, the difference between life and death is often directly related to how fast emergency personnel arrive on the scene and how quickly they react.
Arriving quickly doesn’t mean a lick if emergency personnel don’t know exactly what they’re doing and that’s why auto extrication teams - usually made up of professional and volunteer firefighters - have become more and more commonplace. And, that’s the reason auto extrication competitions have become more and more popular.
The seven-member Sudbury Fire Services Auto Extrication Team has proven they are the best in Northern Ontario by capturing the regional competition in Elliot Lake.
