Anyone know if they will hire outside their volunteers? What is their process like? What is their physical like? Any info would be great.

they will hire outside of their auxiliary crew, but they do a a checklist when it comes to your application and assign points to everything. I'm not sure the exact scale but you get certain points for having a trade, points for being on their auxiliary, points on being a volunteer elsewhere.

as to whether they have called back or not, I haven't heard anything back.

Good Luck

I got the call today for the 1.65 mile run AKA 12min run,is everyone going on the 21st of Jan or are there different dates? Has anybody heard of how many they want to hire,a friend who has been on for a couple of yrs said mid teens but HR always seems to change that to a lower number.

I called Ron Price. He's the Head HR guy, his number escapes me but if you call the city's info line. i think its 604-927-3065.. you should be able to reach him through there/

Anyone in here get on this past hiring? If so what has the recruit class been like? Is it 8 weeks of recruit training then stationed at Austin Heights hall or Mariner Way hall? What all do you have to do till you hit the floor? How long is probation? Biggest challenge you have faced so far?
