Hello everyone, this is my first posting here. I am currently a student finishing out my grade 12, firefighting is something I have always had an interest in but have never been really sure if its something I'd like to get into, untill recently when I found out that doing a Co-Op placement at a firehall is possible. I talked to the Co-Op teacher at my school who stated that it is possible, however actually getting accepted is a very hard thing to do. She suggested that if I knew something from the hall would help me out with getting in. So my question here is, is there anyone on here from the St.Catharines fire dept, if so then what are the policies on this, and what would you feel my odds of being accept be? I know Niagara Falls has a full day Co-Op program, but every school in the Niagara School board is trying to get students into it.

Any help would be appreciated!!
Doug

get in contact with local fire headquarters and they should be able to help you explain what you want to do and all that other jazz.
