Although a wildfire started by a letter from a forest worker's estranged husband makes for sensational headlines, Mother Nature is a more likely culprit, as tens of thousands of fires worldwide can be traced back to lightning strikes. Though the United States loses up to several hundred thousand acres each year, we'll get little sympathy from our neighbors to the north, where fire annually consumes more than 5 million acres. Canada is the setting for this week's "The Tech Of: A Wildfire," where the latest technology is helping battle a blaze started by "nature's arsonist."
