Do you guys really go around applying to cities just for practice? Seems like an expense endeavour.

You hear over and over how practice makes perfect but geesh...

Hey wannabe,

Yes, they are called "fire gypsies" and in competative driven jobs like the fire service practice make perfect.
I wrote in Ottawa once and there where two guys that had flown in from B.C just to write the test, that made me question my dedication to getting on for sure!!!!

I think if I haven't mastered it after a few tries I'd hire a tutor or something instead.
