Hey firechix!!
I have been a volunteer FF for about 5 years off and on. My current role as a E-Crew member is very different from structural FF'ing because it is all complicated vehicle extrications and when a driver is injured, it is usually pretty serious.

Where are you?

:p

Hey! I am up in Powell River. My favorite part of the job is vehical ext.! have you guys tryed the new Kippercan (sp?) extracation technique yet?? it is a way to avoid all side and curtain air bags. we have done it at paractice a couple of times we haven't perfected it yet but it is about 4min start to finish and you have full access to all passengers.

I met my wife in Boston Bar, which is where I moved away to after PR and where I also started FF'ing. Little rural department, 100% Vollie and lots of MVA's and brush fires, with a few fires at the local lumber mill thrown in for a little excitement!!! lol

Dad to be!!
Nothing could have made my life as complete as my wife and kids You will enjoy every moment, My kids are 6 and 3 just the right amount of time between them, the things they say and do will have you laughing for years to come, a didgital camera is a must or a video for sure. i wish you and your better half the best.........
ooh yea when you go and give her you hand to hang on to make sure its two fingers and not your thumb, you could find yourself thinking she is driving a stick shift....

firechixrock
05-13-2004, 11:24 AM
yeah no kidding 2 fingers are good cause it is better for her to squeeze....and also don't take anything seriously she says....oh and also it is really easy to steal a little laughing gass when the nurses aren't looking!! :)
do you know what you are having?

racerrescuebc

Not a clue what we're having and glad to have it that way. It's not so important cuz this is our first kid and we are just wanting it to be happy and healthy.

I was told that it is something that happens before kids being born and after kids move out. My kids are 15-13-11 so I haven't quite reached that stage yet. Soon I hope....Soon.... I really hope :(

Be safe,

MY OLDEST IS 17, NEXT 15 , NEXT 5, NEXT 2. THE HIGH MAINTENANCE ONE IS 17. BOTH HAVE BOYFRIENDS. I AM PAYING FOR MY PAST DIGRESSIONS I GUESS. THE OLD MAN IS SUPER CONSERATIVE (I TRY) BUT TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE TO COUNT ON MOM TO KEEP THEM ON THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW. THEY HAVE NO INTEREST IN WHAT I HAVE TO SAY, ITS TOUGH TO HAVE TO BITE YOUR TONGUE TO KEEP PEACE. REMINDS ME OF MY FATHER'S WOES WITH MY OLDER SISTER. THEY ARE THE BEST OF FRIENDS TODAY. I CAN ONLY HOPE.
TAKE CARE, BCFIRE
