Hey all;
Just got back from Gravenhurst, having successfully completed mod A - What an experience!
One of our firefighters summed it up nicely:
"You get training at our hall and you think you have a pretty good idea of what it's all about - When you get the training at Gravenhurst, you *KNOW* what it's all about!"
Instructors Tracy, Vic (sadistic meanie :) ), Lane and Al were absolutely fantastic - they knew their stuff, were funny as hell when appropriate, serious as hell when needed and best of all, know their stuff and are able to pass it on in manners that we could all absorb.
Comments from me to Charlie Company:
Brendon from Rosemont Fire: Best platoon captain we could have asked for
Rob from Markdale Fire: Damned fine search partner - I don't think it's possible for you to get lost no matter how hot or how dark it got :)
Annie from South Bruce Peninsula FD: Team Mom and kicker of ass in liquid fires :)
Jeff from Goderich Fire: You rock, man: I didn't think I could go in that tower again but you showed me I could. I'd follow orders from you any day.
Marco: Get better, man: Hope to see you on Mod B
