OFC Gravenhurst: Mod A: Amazing experience

Hey all;

Just got back from Gravenhurst, having successfully completed mod A - What an experience!

One of our firefighters summed it up nicely:

"You get training at our hall and you think you have a pretty good idea of what it's all about - When you get the training at Gravenhurst, you *KNOW* what it's all about!"

Instructors Tracy, Vic (sadistic meanie :) ), Lane and Al were absolutely fantastic - they knew their stuff, were funny as hell when appropriate, serious as hell when needed and best of all, know their stuff and are able to pass it on in manners that we could all absorb.

Rob from Markdale Fire: Damned fine search partner - I don't think it's possible for you to get lost no matter how hot or how dark it got :)

Jeff from Goderich Fire: You rock, man: I didn't think I could go in that tower again but you showed me I could. I'd follow orders from you any day.

Thanks for that - Edited my original note :)

It was an absolute blast - there's a lot about our firefighting operations that make a lot more sense now that I've seen up close and first-hand the details of it all.

The confidence gained from that course is priceless - Can't wait for the signups for Mod B :)

I did live fire training up there with my department earlier this year! Great facility. Sounds like you had a blast
