Does anyone know the latest on Ottawa's Recruitment? The last I heard they were planning on interviewing in august/sept. for 30-40 jobs from their applicant pool??

hey buds... I didn't see this earlier, sorry. They have interviewed for the September drill school. They were to be putting 24 through, but have cut the class to 12 and maybe even 9. There is a possibility of another school going through in December as well. I too am on the list and sent an updated resume (a really good one, darnit) in to the city the week they were conducting the interviews, so I missed the selection process. :(

Are you on the list that expires this December or December '05. I'm on the '05 list and have been told there is the likelihood of another 100 next year.

In Ottawa a class of 24 started near the begining of Oct, this is the third class of 24 in 2004, they are talking of hiring another three classes in 2005, for a total of about 270 firefighters in three years 2003,04,05 anyone on those list was very lucky.
