Hey gang,
Just curious if anybody had any information or pictures of Calgary Fire Departments new quint truck. I've only seen brief glimpses of the truck on the news. Does anybody know what kind of responses it does? (I know that Bronto was only ever called out upon special request, is the quint the same?) How many crew members ride the truck? What kind of special equipment does the truck carry?

It runs with two firefighters and one liuetenant. It runs as an aerial only. I have a picture of it but I have no idea how to put a picture into a post.

That was awesome AerialGuy1!! Does anybody know if Calgary Fire Department is planning to purchase more of these vehicles? Is their any plans to utilize them as pumps in the future or have them go to calls that are commonly assigned to pumps such as medicals or small fires such as trash fires? Oh, and what happened to the Bronto? Is it back at #2 now??
On another note, (perhaps I should start a new thread for this) does anybody out there have any information on the new style of pumps recently purchased by Calgary Fire Department? (the same style of pump now stationed at #17 firehall)
Thanks to everybody who has posted information in this thread. It is much appreciated.

Beautiful Truck!! But they gotta lose the "Quint" signage. It kinda kills the entire look of the truck. If ya have to write "Quint" on the rig I think it should be on encorporated on the cab somewhere ie. "Q31" in the front and sides..not written the ladder??? This is the first time I've ever seen such a thing. Yuck! "My 2 cents"
Is that a real mechanical "Q" siren or one of those "eQ2b" Electronic Sirens?
