So here it is hoping it's alright with the boss. having a little friendly compitition
for my new name. sense I have my first shift under my belt and I am fulltime it's time for a change. SO everyone have a shot at my new name NOV 1 midnight is cutoff so start thinking. I am having someone else pick from the entries so there is no playing favorites. Prize is a Halifax Regional Fire T-Shirt your choice of embroided or iron on style. Also will be given a Halifax Regional Fire shoulder patch. so get it on. one entrie per member. Cheers all and good luck.

I am sticking with my original suggestion of "HALIFIRE", but I may add some more along the way.

Talked it over with the boss and we'll throw in a hat and a mug to the winning name. We'd like to see FFWannabe get in on this too. Why don't we open this up for any number of suggested names, and a week before we'll setup a couple voting polls for the top 10 picks.

Is it still the rough area it was when I was in high school. My Dad was called out to cover a City Police strike there back in the late 80's and it was pretty scary. Racial fighting was pretty huge then, I hope it's improved.

That being said, I'm sure you'll get your share of interesting calls, it seems like those make the best stories!! Still very excited for you, hope you're doing well (sounds like it)!
