We have changed the format of our recruitment section (http://www.firehall.com/recruitment_posts.php) (the non-forum one found on the left hand menu). We had originally been trying to maintain a list of current job postings there along with the forum but feel it is a bit redundant considering anyone looking to apply should be checking out the discussion in the forum anyway. The advantage was that it used a standard format for listing which made viewing current postings easy, so we are introducing a standard which we request that anyone posting use for the title (if it is not, we will modify it accordingly):
<Position> - <Town/Organization> (<open date>/<close date)
eg. Fire Chief - Hay River, Northwest Territories (06/12/06 to 21/12/06)
Make sure you use the Canadian date standard dd/mm/yy to avoid confusion.
The recruitment page itself will remain; not everyone who first visits the site knows what the forum is all about, so this will guide them to the appropriate section. It also provides links to every career department's recruitment page, any hopeful should be visiting these sites religiously (and updating the rest of the community here (http://www.firehall.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=44) :D )
