Would Belleville hire an over qualified Toronto firefighter hazmat technician HUSAR team member, CBRN team member?
Just a thought!

Yes, we have a few ex- GTA firefighters, not with your qualifications though. There may be a chief or deputies job in the not too distant future that may be better suited to a resume like that.:)

It's one of the written tests the cities give. I don't really know much about the different ones yet although I should.
I'll let you know if I find out more.

Looking to get outta T.O. Billy? My ex is really trying to pressure me into applying there because he lives there. I dunno.
You guys have a CBRN team? Is it separate form your Hazmat team?
What is HUSAR? I have heard of it before but forget where.

Toronto has CBRN Teams made up from members of the Two hazmat trucks in the city.
We are assigned to the Toronto City team and one of the three Ontario teams. The other two provincial teams are from Ottawa and Windsor. Our major training for these teams are done at CFB Suffield military base in Alberta.
Each member carries anti-terrorism gear bag with them so that they can respond from home if needed.
The city and the province is throwing all kinds of money at us for equipment and training. It is a good time to be assigned to a special apparatus on Toronto Fire.
HUSAR stands for Heavy Urban Search and Rescue.
Calgary and Vancouver also have HUSAR teams. Toronto is currently involved in major training of this team. We were selected as members in the spring.
We are to be used in the event of a major disaster that a local emergency response system can not handle.
