This learning and hands on training symposium will provide an opportunity for firefighters from all over Canada to witness and participate in extremely complicated large vehicle rescue and extrications. Participants of this symposium will have the opportunity to be involved in four workshops involving complicated stabilization and extrication Techniques that demonstrate: "Cab Extrications", “Under-Runs”, “Overturns”, and “Dealing with Cement Mixers”.
As a result of the Big Rig H.O.T.S. course fire and emergency services personnel and their departments, will benefit from the techniques learned and tools used to improve their rescue skills and ultimately pre-hospital care management.
The AVEA is a Not for Profit organization that is committed to contributing to the reduction of injury and deaths of all Albertans involved in transportation emergencies; to enhance the health and safety of all of our emergency responders and to assist all of our members in achieving those commitments within their local communities.
