Safety Harness Weight Limits

Just noticed that our safety harnesses at work have a 300 lbs rating. Having a look around, and assuming bunker gear + SCBA etc weigh approx. 60 lbs this would potentially put 5-10% (a conservative estimate) in jeopardy. I realize there is a safety factor, just wondering if anyone else has come across this???
