EDMONTON, AB - A local business was fined $6,000 after pleading guilty to three Alberta fire code violations that took place at a seven-suite rooming house in Edmonton’s northeast.
“Our fire prevention officers found a number of serious problems with this property that put the lives of residents at risk,” said fire marshal Ron Jeske in a news release.
“While these sorts of violations are not common, it is an important reminder to landlords to make sure their properties comply with the fire code.”
