Wildfire in Burnaby under control

BURNABY, BC - A wildfire burning near a townhouse complex in Burnaby Thursday afternoon is nearly under control, according to fire officials.
"At this point we're real close to having it under control," said assistant fire chief Darrell Smith.
Smith said fire crews had been battling the blaze since 4:30 p.m., including most of the Burnaby fire trucks and a helicopter that was dumping water on the fire.
