Man dies in Canning apartment fire

CANNING, NS - A late-night apartment fire Saturday claimed the life of a 44-year-old Kings County man.

Firefighters in Canning were called to 9847 Main St. at about 11:20 p.m. When they arrived, the upstairs of a two-storey apartment building was on fire, said Jeff Skaling, deputy chief of the Canning Volunteer Fire Department.
