Firefighter charged with fraud returns to court in April

WOODSTOCK, ON - A volunteer firefighter charged in relation to a fraud investigation involving the Burgessville Firefighters Association, will be back in court April 3.

Harold Peter Couwenberg, the former treasurer of the Burgessville Firefighters Association, at the Oxford County Court House Monday, but was represented by his defence attorney, Trudy Mauth.

Couwenberg, 50, has been charged with fraud, breach of trust by a public officer, theft over $5,000 and uttering a forged document.
