Man charged after body found in Brandon house following fire

BRANDON, MB - A 20-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter and arson after a body was found in a Brandon house following a fire early Wednesday.

Ashtyn Franklin James Richard, of Sandy Bay First Nation, will also face charges of disregard for human life, police said. He was arrested Wednesday and was held overnight for a court appearance Thursday morning.

There is no known connection between the Richard and the victim of the fire.
