Fire crews contain forest fire near Halifax airport

HALIFAX, NS - A forest fire near the Old Guysborough Road is under control.

A section of the Old Guysborough Road from Antrim Road to Wyse Road, east of Halifax Stanfield International Airport, was closed to traffic late Thursday afternoon because of the fire.

No structures were threatened by the fire, which involved 2.5 hectares of woods and a meadow.
