Flames rip through B.C. sawmill after overnight blast

PRINCE GEORGE, BC - Flames lit up the sky above a British Columbia sawmill after an overnight explosion rocked the facility, injuring up to 21 people.

Workers at Lakeland Sawmill in Prince George were forced to run for their lives when the blast hit at about 9:40 p.m. local time, triggering a fire and causing walls to collapse.

Brian Croy, first vice-president of the United Steelworkers Local 1-424, was with six people in the mill's lunchroom when the explosion hit.
