Hope your doing well.
Sounds like an interesting idea you have.
Somethings I would check on first.
Check with your local authority that governs firefighting. See what kind of rules they have. I know in Manitoba you have to be 18yrs to be tested. Now if someone were to teach a 16yrld and they were injured would that instructor be held liable?
Sounds like a great idea, I just think jaws of life and scba training should be left to adults.
A good start would be cpr and first aid. Live burns, your looking for trouble.
good luck

Yes, but it was still neat to do it at 15

I've never heard of these bootcamps, I've heard the junior programs but that's about it. The closest junior program I know of is in Chemainus FD and I don't even know if the junior respond to minor calls. The only bootcamp I've heard of is the forest fire bootcamps that happen in may.

As mentioned earlier on, Qualicum Beach runs quite a nice bootcamp. It runs a week long and teaches most of the basics of firefighting. i went last year nad enjoyed it so much i joined our local fire department. It has been a year so far and i have learned tons and had a great time.
