For those that aren't necessarily aware that there is an appropriate dress code for initial aptitude test writing, there is. Typically business-casual at minimum. This does not consist of hats, hoodies, board shorts, flip flops or pajama pants. This is for a well-paying, highly sought after and competitive career in the public service sector, dress the part. Applicants are constantly scrutinized even if you don't realize it. Looking professional when participating in the process that includes HR, line and management personnel can potentially make or break your chances of advancing. Even being clean-shaven doesn't go unnnoticed, you can't wear an SCBA with a beard. Whether it's your first writing and you're unaware or you've done so many you've stopped caring, the competition for a career in fire is incredibly fierce. Don't give anyone a reason to cast your application aside before you've even written the test.

This is a joint session for OFAI technical skills, and NFPA sign-off practical review.
