An undergraduate degree in Emergency Management, Business, Public Administration, or related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience as an officer within a professional emergency services department, including 5 years experience in a senior officer role, or equivalent.
A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
PCP/ACP certification is strongly desired
NFPA 1001, 1021, Incident Command System 300 required 400 preferred.
Ability to lead emergency services teams in a variety of situations and effectively managing processes.
Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships with staff, union executive and colleagues that fosters effective problem solving and innovation.
A thorough understanding of the emergency services function, with the ability to react effectively in high-stress and potentially life-threatening situations.
Knowledgeable in leading technologies for emergency services.
A valid Class 5 Driver’s License. A personal vehicle is required for use at work.
This is a 6-month term position.
