OFAI Testing

Postby firemarshallbill » Thu Jul 30, 2015 12:14 pm

Having been out of Fire School for 10 years now my skills definitely could use a brush up to say the least. My hometown just opened up their recruitment and they're using the new testing. Needless to say, there's no way I could pass it after doing a quick read of the new process.
I'm looking for anyone and everyone to PM me on their honest experience while performing the testing and if it would be difficult for someone in my position.
Is the process just as they describe it on the website? For example: rope tying, hydrant work etc? And are you fully geared up and on air?
Any insight would be highly appreciated. The spark is still within me, but this whole new process seems extremely daunting to me.

Thanks so much everyone!

you are only on air for some of the test and most of the skills that are evaluated are fairly easy. Check out their web site and review what you need to do and Im sure you will di fine.
