Yellow- To stupid to realize how screw up things are
Yellow with red reflective stickers- Those with the least amount of experience and most likely to get hurt doing something they have not been trained to do.
The core group of the department that was dedicated to professionalism and tried to do something to help their fellow firefighters and their families should the worse ever happen to them on a call:- Denied reapplication and forced to retire by a corrupt Regional District lead by the areas largest burrocrate with a personal vendetta.

Helmet colours
Just been looking at the TO fire web site, and it seems that there are loads of blokes all with different colours lids on, black, yellow and red, I take it that there is some reason for this! Anyone want to shed a bit of light on it for me
Some one give me a job!

I would think they are all black red and white now.Pre amalgamation the different depts had different colour lids.
Old TO wore black with captains in red and chiefs in white.
Etobocoke,North York etc all wore yellow helmets, capts and chiefs same as above.
I guess they are either old pics or there are a few diehards that havent traded in their old for new.

Thousand a week for hide and seek on call when Im paid to be.
Chief / Deputy Chief - white
Captains - Red
Lieutenants - Yellow
FF's - black
Safety Officer - Green
Medical only members - blue
RIT - "over zealous" orange (hehe sorry, couldn't resist)
We're hoping to change the Lieutenants to Red and all FF's to yellow so we can have our Probies and Jr's in black helmets.
