Industrial firetruck charge out rates

Postby fireguy1997 » Tue Sep 30, 2014 2:51 pm

Does anyone know what companies in Alberta charge for their industrial firetrucks to be on standby on Fracs?
I have heard that they go from $3000-$6000/day. Does this include the staff or just the pumpand shower unit?
Is It billed out hourly or daily?
Any help would be greatly appreciated with costs.

I work for an industrial safety company out of AB. They will charge carrying rates for their firetruck services and it is dependent on length of time the trucks are required, the distance travelled from home shop to the frac site, and how many firefighters/ special equipment may be requested. The company will bill in 12 or 24 hour increments and will bill additional hours at a set rate if they have a history with the consultant. As I am a current employee I do not feel comfortable sharing our companies billables online, however, I will tell you that your estimations are not far off.

Thanks bigzee. I am thinking about a rate of $7000/12 hours for 1-emt-p/ff 1-emt-a/ff 2-emr/ff 1-ARFF truck 1-Pumper 1-Ambulance and 1-shower unit (plus fuel and sub). I believe this would be one of the most competitive rates around

Do you always send your FF's out with an EMR/T? If you don't mind my asking, what kind of work do you intend on doing?
