I have used Galls in the past and they were great. You can check them out here http://www.galls.com/CGBCSRCH?PMWTNO=000000000001610. Hope this helps.

The KS Sirens and WPC links don't work. There is another site. Fiven Star Uniforms,, is that site affiliated with firehall.com. I went on it, and there are no prices. Is that site for corporations, and government departments. Before someone mentions Fisher's Regalia, I do shop there. I did buy a badge there, and other uniform items, first for my then EMS gig, now it's for my security guard job.

KS Sirens

Postby LTPVFD » Mon Jun 19, 2017 7:06 pm

I was up in Kelowna last month at the BCFTOA conference. I was going to make a trip to KS Sirens but was told they are no longer in business.

Our department gets its badges from Fishers - good product and good service.

Stay safe !!

Cops are ISSUED a BADGE because technically they are never really off duty....so that's why they are issued them and the permission to carry their firearm.

Most Canadian Police Services do not allow their sworn members to carry off duty unless they are on call or there is a valid threat against the members life. While there may be no criminal penalties for carrying off duty in those services that prohibited carrying off duty there are most likely internal policies against that which may lead to suspension and or dismissal.

This is all too true. On a force that shall remain nameless, in order for one to carry off duty, one would have to fill out the appropriate paperwork indicating for what purpose they felt it necessary to carry off duty. There really is a lot more red tape than its worth.

As for the badge issue, I love when I see an individual try and identify themselves to me as a Police officer by just showing me some tin. Great, thanks bud, I bet there are tons of people out there who have come across badges in one form or another... the ID card is what makes or breaks it.
