Volunteer firefighter in mississauga

Postby Denny91 » Wed Sep 23, 2015 8:57 pm

Hey guys,

I was hoping that a volunteer firefighter from mississauga (or someone that has information) would be able to help me out with some questions that I have. I am fairly new to the fire fighting community, and was hoping to build a foundation of information that can help me to become a volunteer firefighter. I've been told that volunteering all depends on your municipality. From what I've been reading on the forums, it seems like Burlington has 2 volunteer stations. What I'm curious to know is if mississauga works in a similar way or not? I also would like to know what is required to become one as well. I am attending the firefighter expo on sunday so hopefully I will be able to meet some of you guys there :) Thanks for your time!

Most of the big cities are full time professional FF's. Mississauga may still run their canteen truck with vollies. If you are looking for a FF spot, closest spot would be Caledon area.

But than again you have to reside there to vollie there.
All men are created equal, a few become fire fighters.
