Postby FireComms1 » Thu Feb 04, 2016 4:32 pm

Just and FYI: For all those out there looking for FPO jobs, TFS will be hiring 20 Inspectors and 20 Life Safety Educators in March 2016!

Thanks for the heads up. I have heard otherwise. I have heard otherwise though.

I heard 17 new inspectors.

10 to on division
7 to the other division

That is new hires though, 20 and 20 could be the result of retirees as well? not sure.

If the past is any indication the 4 new investigator jobs (if that's true) will be internal hires. As the first four were.

Is anyone able to shed some light on requirements to become a public educator with TFS? Similar to FPO?

Thanks!

Just FYI for anyone thinking of applying for these positions. TFS is/has split the divisions from what we are being told if you apply for and accept a Public educator position you will be employed as a Pub educator. They are talking about doing two completely separate hirings one for pub ed and one for FPO positions. As far as what they are looking for I believe they would be looking for NFPA 1035 (or OFM recognized equivalent), as well as teaching experience from what I've heard.
