Postby MU01-19 » Fri Mar 13, 2020 11:20 am

Tis the month to apply for the Edmonton application process, get your resumes in. It looks like they're approving people quickly this year.

Good luck!

I read a news article a few weeks back that said the EFRS recruitment class is being pushed back to the fall to save money. However, I can't find these article currently.

As for this year's process, my profile says that the application has been approved and I'm invited to the aptitude test, so it looks like they're moving forward this year.

It's hard to guess what is going to happen now with everything that's going on now.

The current situation is so unprecedented anything could happen and I bet they are scrambling. I’ve been on the eligibility list 3 times and have a pretty good ideas how this works and I have no idea how they will do app tests with social distancing or fitness tests. Traditionally if they only run 1 class it has been a spring class but that is with an e-list that came out the previous Dec, so who knows. Classes are usually 16 or 20 they have run classes concurrently so I’m not sure where that 50 number came from. There are a ton of guys on the floor who did app and fitness the following year because they were lower on the list and looking at fall classes.

The fitness test details have changed a little for those anticipating doing this year.

It is a little different of an experience. I wasn't a fan of having to stop pay way through to readjust the Webcam.

Thanks for the physical test information.
